BRIEF

A sculpture commissioned to celebrate Sir William and Lady Bromley Davenport’s long commitment to Cheshire, and designed to sit permanently in Capesthorne Hall the family home of the Bromley Davenports since 1726.

CONCEPT

The design is inspired by the ploughed landscape and Sir William’s passion for the Cheshire landscape and the farming community.

It has been a conscious decision to create a contemporary sculpture that can sit proudly alongside Capesthorne Hall’s eclectic mix of fine artwork and furniture. The process of creating it through close consultation with Sir William and Lady Bromley Davenport has been highly rewarding and a great honour for me.
